How does PartDrop work?
You upload a photo, our AI turns it into a 3D model, and you see a preview of your model and the exact NZD price before you pay. Once you approve it, we 3D print it on our FDM printers here in New Zealand and ship it to your door. Nothing is charged until you've approved your model and price.
Can you make a figurine from a photo?
Yes - a photo is all we need. Upload a clear photo of almost anything: your pet, a person, your car, a favourite object or a piece of artwork, and we generate a 3D model from it. A well-lit, front-on photo where the subject fills the frame gives the best result, and you preview and approve the model before anything is printed.
How much does a custom 3D print cost?
Pricing is by size. Shipping is added at checkout and depends on where it's going. Typical prices are small $11–23, medium $23–41, large $41–66, xl $66–102 NZD. Price moves within each size with the actual object - a solid, chunky shape uses more material and printer time than a slender one - so the range matters more than the starting figure. Multi-colour prints add a surcharge - your exact price is always shown before you pay.
How long does delivery take in New Zealand?
Because everything is made to order, your piece is printed after you approve your model, then delivered anywhere in New Zealand by courier. If you have a gift or occasion deadline, message us first and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can you make a pet memorial keepsake?
Yes. Many people order a PartDrop keepsake to remember a pet they've lost. Send us a favourite photo and we'll create a 3D-printed figurine of them so you have something lasting to hold onto. We treat these orders with care and you can approve the model before it's printed.
Is my photo kept private?
Your photo is used for exactly two things: an automated safety check and creating your 3D model - we don't train any AI on it, and we don't let our providers train on it either. We never sell your photos or share them publicly without your permission. Full details are in our privacy policy.
