Car models - FAQ

How do I get a model of my car made?

Upload one clear photo of the car - side-on or front three-quarter, the whole vehicle in frame, in good light. Our 3D engine builds a printable model from it, you preview it and approve the exact NZD price, and we print it in Tauranga and courier it to you. Nothing is printed until you approve the model and its exact print price.

What photos work best for a car model?

A three-quarter view (front corner) showing the whole car, taken in daylight with nothing blocking it. Adding one or two extra angles - the other side, the rear - helps the model capture details on all sides. Phone photos are fine; avoid heavy shadows across the body.

Can you do motorbikes, utes, trucks or boats?

Yes - anything you can photograph clearly. Bikes and vehicles with thin parts (mirrors, aerials, spoked wheels) come out best at the larger sizes, where those details have enough material to print strongly.

How big is the model, and what does it cost?

Pricing is by size: small $22–45, medium $45–80, large $80–130, xl $130–200. Shipping is added at checkout and depends on where it's going. A palm-sized car sits nicely on a desk; the larger sizes suit a shelf or cabinet display. You'll see the exact price for your actual model before paying.

Will it be in my car's colour?

Every print is one solid colour of your choice from eight - it's a sculptural model, not a paint-matched replica. Many people pick a colour close to their car's, or go with a display colour like matte black. Multi-colour prints add a surcharge - your exact price is always shown before you pay.

Is it a perfect scale replica?

No - and we're honest about that. It's a recognisable model built from your photo: the shape, stance and character of your car, printed as one solid piece. It's made to say 'that's my car', not to be a 1:18 die-cast substitute.

Whose car can I print?

Your own photos of your own (or a mate's, with their blessing) vehicle are perfect. We review every order before printing and reserve the right to decline anything that infringes someone else's rights.
