Ordering in time for Christmas

Every gift is made to order: we print it after you approve the model, take the supports off and check it by hand, then courier it from Tauranga. There's no overseas freight and no customs, so once it's posted it reaches you in days, not weeks.

Couriers are at their busiest in December, so the earlier you start, the calmer it goes. If the day is close, message us first and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Gift questions, answered

Can a personalised gift arrive in time for Christmas?

Yes, with a little planning - everything is made to order in Tauranga and couriered domestically, so there's no overseas shipping wait or customs. Couriers are at their busiest in December, so the earlier you order the better; if the occasion is close, message us first and we'll tell you honestly whether it's possible rather than over-promising.

What's a good personalised Father's Day gift in NZ?

A model of his car from a photo is where we'd start - the first car, the classic, the ute. NZ Father's Day is the first Sunday of September, and because every piece is made to order, ordering a couple of weeks ahead keeps it relaxed.

How much does a personalised gift cost?

Pricing is by size: small $11–23, medium $23–41, large $41–66, xl from $66. Multi-colour prints add a surcharge - your exact price is always shown before you pay. Shipping is added at checkout and depends on where it's going. Medium suits most gifts, at $23–41 NZD. Making each 3D model uses generation credits - signing up covers your first 4 models free, then credit packs start at $12. The size price is for the print itself, and nothing is printed until you approve the model.

What photo should I use for a gift?

One clear photo where the subject fills the frame, in good light - a phone photo is perfect. You'll see the 3D model built from it, and approve it and the exact price, before anything is printed - so if the photo doesn't work, you'll know before you pay for the print.

Can I keep it a surprise?

Completely. The recipient sees nothing until they unwrap it - you approve the model yourself, and it's posted to the address you enter at checkout. Have it sent to you and you can wrap it before the day.

What if I don't have a photo of the thing they love?

You'd be surprised how often someone's phone, or a family album, has exactly the shot - and for artwork, a photo of the drawing itself is all we need. If the photo you have is rough, send it through anyway: you'll see the model it makes before you pay for printing.

Can I add a name or a message?

Yes. In the editor you can stand the piece on a base and add up to two short lines of lettering, up to 22 characters each - a name, a date or a few words - raised or pressed into the top. The lettering doesn't change the price; the base adds a little material, which shows in your price before you pay. Macrons and accents print as plain letters for now.

What's a good Mother's Day gift in NZ?

Something made from a photo she treasures: the house she raised you in, the family dog or the two of you back then. NZ Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May, and because every piece is made to order, starting a couple of weeks ahead keeps it relaxed.
